Good afternoon, Wild Ones! We had a great turnout for our garden tour ? thanks again to Tom, Pam, Ingrid, and Kris for showing us their beautiful gardens. There was inspiration galore! Speaking of inspiration, in yesterday’s Kenosha News there was a great article about the Chiwaukee Prairie being designated a wetland of international importance. International importance ? how cool is that?! So, I asked member Pam Holy, the president of the Chiwaukee Prairie Preservation Fund, to give us a short talk on how this came to be and what it means for the prairie. Also, we have a proposition from GTC Kenosha about the plant sale that I wanted to discuss with the membership.
When: Saturday, October 3rd at 10:00 am
Where: Bristol School library, 20121 83rd St in Bristol
What: Chiwaukee Prairie, a Wetland of International Importance
Afterwards we’ll lunch at the Bristol 45 Diner right across from the school on Hwy 45. Sure to be a fun time ?? hope to see you there!
Enjoy this great weather, and stay Wild!
Chris
