Don’t forget that this Saturday at 10:00 am we?re going to learn about the history and current doings at River Bend Nature Center. They?re at 3600 N Green Bay Road in Racine, and we?re meeting at Em?s Cabin. Afterwards we can get lunch at the Caledonia Historical Society?s annual heritage festival where we can support uber-members the Kaplans as they raise money to put up a machine shed. They?ll have burgers, brats, hot dogs, Italian sausage, a Mexican plate and nachos, pizza and a bake sale, plus a pie auction! One other thing ? member Melissa Warner is going to be selling her beautiful prairie/woodland home. She?s at 4444 N Green Bay, about a mile north of our meeting, and she has a circular driveway so it?s easy to drive past and take a look if you?re interested.
