We had a great turnout at our February chapter meeting today where Danielle Bell, owner of Native Roots LLC spoke to us about native host plant species that you can add to your landscape. All native plants provide either nectar or pollen as a food source for adult pollinators and insects. However, there are certain species that have evolved with insects to provide food for their larval stage. These plants provide keystone services that are needed to support the complete ecosystem in your landscape. This talk will discuss must-have host plants to include in your home landscape.
