The snow we got this morning notwithstanding, it?s time to stop thinking about winter and start thinking about plants again! To help us do that, for our February meeting, everyone who is attending the Fox Valley chapter conference this weekend will give a short report on what they learned. If you are going to the conference, try to get a copy of any handouts they have. If you can make copies for the meeting, that would be great (15-20 should do it). The talks are pretty varied this year ? prairies, native trees, wetlands, rain gardens, etc.
Also, we usually give away about 400 bags of milkweed seed at our information booth at various events in the spring, and members can all work together to bag them. It doesn’t take very long and the bags brings lots of people to our booth to learn more about us and help monarchs.
